Job Overview:

As a Junior Financial Analyst on our client's team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the cloud development projects. Your role will involve assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial insights. You will have the opportunity to work with innovative cloud solutions and contribute to Samsung's cloud business growth.

Location: Mountain View, CA 94043 (Hybrid)

Type : Contract

$30-42/hr per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

• Assist in preparing financial reports, including budget vs. actual analysis, variance reports, and ad-hoc requests.
• Support analysis of cloud development projects, including cost allocation, resource planning, and financial impact assessments.
• Help track financial performance against targets and support corrective actions.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Assist in creating annual budgets for cloud initiatives aligned with strategic goals.
• Contribute to quarterly forecasts and provide detailed analysis.
• Maintain accurate financial data and models.
• Develop financial models to evaluate project costs and metrics.
• Analyze historical data for long-term planning.

Collaboration with Teams:

• Work with cloud teams to understand project needs and align resources.
• Partner with finance leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Provide insights and recommendations for financial decision-making.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement improvements for reporting and forecasting processes.
• Help develop SOPs for financial processes related to cloud projects.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
• Financial analysis certification (e.g., CFA Level I) is a plus.

Experience:

• At least 2 years in financial analysis, preferably in tech or cloud industries.
• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Proficiency with financial software (Excel, NetSuite).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate financial info clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Knowledge of cloud financial models, pricing, and trends.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
