You will have the opportunity to work throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from storyboarding and software requirement gathering to independent verification and validation (IV&V) of software releases. As a key member of the team, you will focus on testing next-generation technologies, including innovative express lanes pricing software, industry leading advanced traffic management systems (ATMS), and real-time traffic management dashboards. This role is ideal for a professional passionate about software quality, public infrastructure, and the direct impact of technology on society. Your contributions will play a critical role in advancing state-of-the-art systems that enhance public safety, optimize operational efficiency, and improve decision-making processes for transportation authorities across the state. What You'll Do: Designs, develops and maintains business intelligence solutions. Crafts and executes queries upon request for data. Presents information through reports and visualization. Develops and analyzes data architecture and data warehouses. Writes technical documents on database content. Performs other duties as assigned. What You'll Need: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or In lieu of education, 4 years of relevant experience. What You'll Bring: Strong knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Power BI or other BI tools Experience with ETL processes, data modeling, data warehousing concepts, OLAP cubes, MDX queries, DAX formulas Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Strong Communication and Documentation Skills What We Prefer: Experience in Transportation, Tolling, or Traffic Management Software. Experience with FDOT SunGuide, TxDOT LoneStar, New England Compass, TDOT Smartway, Georgia DOT Navigator, SWRI ActiveITS, or any other ATMS.
