Your Impact Prepare detailed architectural drawings for external and internal views of building projects. Collect and analyze data from various sources such as surveys, blueprints, GIS data, and environmental information for project development. Conduct site inspections and research to ensure compliance with applicable standards and permits. Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates, coordinating with stakeholders. Incorporate advanced modeling and design strategies to enhance safety and functionality, including sustainable solutions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to execute multiple projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and regulations. Verify site and structural characteristics, providing technical guidance for structural integrity. Create visualizations, reports, sketches, and presentations for project analysis and communication. Maintain quality control and assist in project scoping and development. Mentor entry-level architects and contribute to continuous improvement of design practices. Research and evaluate design and construction issues, assessing environmental impact and risk mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to data integrity, documentation, and safety. Engage with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients professionally. Stay current with the latest architectural techniques and practices. Work with other professionals and authorities on various infrastructure projects. Adhere to ethical standards and WSP’s Code of Conduct. Perform additional duties as required by business needs. Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field. 5-7 years of relevant experience. Proficient in architectural principles, practices, and project applications. Experience with building planning, standards, and project management. Strong visualization and technical drawing skills. Knowledge of sustainability and green building practices. Understanding of building laws, codes, and regulations. Ability to perform technical computations and interpret plans. Experience managing small to mid-level projects. Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Self-driven with attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities. Leadership skills to guide junior team members. Proficiency with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp). Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking. Ability to direct field activities and ensure safety. Commitment to workplace safety and policy adherence. Flexibility for project-specific schedules and travel. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree. Professional licensure or certification.
