Job Description

This position offers the opportunity to provide essential nursing care in a K-12 school setting, playing a key role in supporting student health and well-being throughout the school year. The ideal candidate is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with a passion for working with children and supporting their educational experience in a school environment.

Duration: School Year Contract (NSY)
Setting: K-12 School

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide basic nursing care and health assessments to students in a K-12 school environment
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and maintain accurate health records
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop individualized health plans
• Respond promptly and effectively to student health emergencies
• Promote a safe and healthy school environment through health education and preventive care
• Maintain compliance with all relevant health policies and regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current and valid LPN/LVN license in good standing
• Experience working in pediatric or school nursing is preferred, but not required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, families, and the school community
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
• Knowledge of basic first aid, emergency procedures, and medication administration
