Job Description

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is needed to provide essential healthcare support within a high school setting in Bellevue, WA. This contract position spans the full academic year, offering an opportunity to apply clinical skills in a school environment and contribute to the health and well-being of students.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver routine nursing care and first aid to students and staff according to established protocols
• Manage and maintain health records and documentation accurately
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Collaborate with school personnel to address health concerns and support individualized student health plans
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and communicate effectively with parents and healthcare professionals when necessary
• Educate students on health practices and wellness promotion

Qualifications:

• Valid LPN/LVN license in the state of Washington
• Experience working in school nursing or pediatric healthcare settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with adolescents
• Knowledge of school health policies and relevant state regulations
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• CPR and First Aid certification
