A national leader in pharmacogenomic (PGx) testing is seeking a dynamic and experienced Remote Medical Diagnostics Sales Executive to drive commercial growth across the Midwest. This role is focused on building strategic partnerships within the self-funded healthcare ecosystem by selling their cutting-edge pharmacogenomic (PGx) testing solutions. This is a high-impact, revenue-generating role ideal for a self-starter who thrives in consultative B2B sales and understands the value-based care landscape. They are looking for a motivated healthcare sales professional with deep knowledge of self-funded benefit plans, strong industry relationships, and the drive to grow with a fast-paced startup environment.


Remote Medical Diagnostics Sales Executive Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to grow PGx testing adoption among self-funded health plans, Taft-Hartley funds, PBMs, and TPAs
  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with benefits consultants, employer groups, and decision-makers in the healthcare space
  • Present clinical and financial value of PGx testing to both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
  • Manage a sales pipeline from initial outreach through signed contracts and handoff to client service teams
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities to generate leads and strengthen brand presence
  • Provide consistent updates via CRM and collaborate closely with the senior sales team
  • Conduct both virtual and in-person presentations and meetings with prospects
Remote Medical Diagnostics Sales Executive Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare sales, with a focus on self-funded health plans, PBMs, population health, or employer benefits
  • Proven success selling non-insurance-reimbursed solutions or B2B healthcare services
  • Existing relationships with benefit consultants, TPAs, PBMs, or employer decision-makers
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Excellent communication skills and able to explain complex clinical concepts in a simple, business-oriented manner
  • Comfortable with travel across the Midwest region
  • Highly self-motivated, coachable, and able to work independently in a remote setting
  • Strong understanding of the self-funded insurance landscape
  • Familiarity with PGx testing, specialty pharmacy, precision medicine, or diagnostic sales is a plus
  • Experience selling into union health funds or Taft-Hartley plans is preferred
  • Familiarity with pharmacogenomics, value-based care models, and cost containment strategies
  • HIPAA compliance awareness and secure data practices is a plus
  • Established relationships with regional insurance brokers or employer benefit consultants is a plus
