About the Role

As an OT Cyber Security Analyst , you will play a crucial role in safeguarding Drax’s operational technology (OT) systems, including industrial control systems (ICS) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Your work will be vital in ensuring the reliability and safety of the UK’s critical national infrastructure.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Cybersecurity Monitoring: Continuously monitor and maintain OT security solutions within the OT environment.
  • Threat Analysis: Identify and analyze potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities, assessing their impact and prioritizing responses.
  • Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans for cyber incidents in OT environments.
  • Vulnerability Management: Identify and assess vulnerabilities in OT systems, coordinating remediation efforts.
  • Security Assessment: Conduct security assessments and facilitate penetration testing of OT systems.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of cybersecurity policies specific to OT environments.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Network Security: Implement and manage security controls for OT network segments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT and Generation Engineering/Operation teams to align cybersecurity efforts.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of security incidents, assessments, and remediation efforts.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise through advisory services.
  • Engage with third parties and colleagues across the business.
  • Propose changes to existing processes for improved efficiency.
  • Maintain and develop technology for the OT Cyber Defence Centre (CDC).
  • Perform Verification and Validation across the OT security stack.
  • Participate in OT-related projects with Cyber involvement.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone with a background in cyber security and/or Operational Technology (control systems). You should have:

  • An understanding of network security technologies and processes.
  • A working knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, NIS Regulations, and IEC.
  • A keen interest in developing your knowledge in cybersecurity.
  • A high level of attention to detail and the ability to think creatively when solving complex problems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
