Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Material Flow Planning Specialist for an 18-month W2 contract position with a client in Chattanooga, TN .

*** No Corp-to-Corp; No C2C; No Referrals from C2C ***

Rate Range: $28.00/hour to $30.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Material Flow Planning Specialist job responsibilities include:

• Coordinate overall material delivery process for production trials and model changes
• Review Logistics concepts for packaging design and project coordination
• Ensure processes meet safety standards, quality standards, environmental, and OSHA regulations
• Create a continuous improvement environment to develop best in class production system
• Develop systems to meet KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and analyze data to monitor performance and plan improvements
• Monitor safety, quality, cost, and productivity, with improvement activities for pre-series processes
• Provide direction and assistance to analyze issues, propose countermeasures, and resolve issues
• Responsible to ensure equipment is maintained and functioning
• Coordinating the HOT CALL procedure and facilitate getting the parts to the line.
• Will also represent the Logistics Launch team during Teams or in person meetings.

Desired Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or relevant work experience
• 3-5 years of experience (former warehouse supervisor, material manager, or industrial engineer)
• Experience with SAP
• Experience with part delivery system development; material flow and logistics knowledge.
