Hillandale Farms is a fast paced, high-energy company that delivers fresh shell eggs to the Mid-Atlantic States 7 days a week. As a Jockey Truck Driver, you will be responsible for moving either eggs or cartons between production facilities. This position does not require a CDL (although, CDL is Preferred). However, a DOT physical and a good driving record is required.

Job Functions:

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle.
• Safely and efficiently, handle and unload goods at selected destinations.
• Ensure contents are properly secured inside the truck to prevent breakage or damage.
• Communicate with managers regularly during your shift.
• Trailer Movements around our 5 Site Operation in Gettysburg, PA
• Follow direction given by Site Managers based on their needs.
• Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip.
• Fuel both truck and refer every day and as needed.
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
• Adhere to company rules and regulations.
• Make safety a priority at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• DOT Physical - REQUIRED
• At least 18 years of age.
• No more than three moving violations in last three years.
• No criminal background or DUI’s.
• Be able to communicate and converse with a variety of warehouse personnel.
• Must pass a background and drug test.
• Highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who performs at the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
• Alert focused and detail oriented.
• Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
• Self-starter who works well independently.
• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
• High level of composure and good stress management.
• MUST be able to Operate a Manual Transmission

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must possess valid Driver’s License
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, crouch, push, pull, lift and climb.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain and confined spaces.

The above requirements serve as a starting point for Hillandale Jockey Truck Drivers and are subject to change or revise at any time. This position is paid hourly. Position reports to the Shipping Manager.
