Japanese Bilingual Auditor (Remote)

Location: Remote - Must reside in the Los Angeles or Orange County area

Employment Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Direct-Hire

Overview:


An international accounting firm is seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Auditor to join their remote team. This position involves conducting audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of corporate clients-ranging from startups to large enterprises. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in public accounting, excellent communication skills in both languages, and the ability to work closely with clients and internal teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but not are Limited to:


Perform financial audits in accordance with U.S. GAAP and auditing standards


Assess internal controls (US/J-SOX), identify risks, and recommend improvements


Analyze financial data and reports for accuracy and compliance


Communicate with clients in both Japanese and English regarding audit findings


Lead or support audit teams and mentor junior staff


Participate in special projects, due diligence, and advisory services


Travel locally to client sites (approx. 60 days/year)

Qualifications:


2+ years of audit experience, preferably in public accounting


Business-level fluency in Japanese and English (verbal and written)


Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (CPA preferred)


Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls


Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software


Willing to work overtime during peak periods (overtime will be paid)
