Position Overview
As a Field Clinical Specialist (FCS) , you will play a pivotal role in supporting the clinical adoption of our imaging platform across new and existing accounts. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, with a dotted line to the Area Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for driving clinical excellence, ensuring a positive customer experience, and enabling successful integration of the technology into surgical and pathology workflows.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support & Product Integration
Lead product training and onboarding for clinical teams, with a focus on surgical and pathology use cases
Provide real-time procedural support during live cases (commercial and clinical trials)
Serve as the primary point of contact for in-field clinical questions and troubleshooting
Ensure seamless OR integration and promote best practices for device use
Utilization Growth & Strategy Execution
Partner with sales to implement account-specific utilization plans
Work with HCPs to identify ideal use cases and encourage independent adoption
Support expansion efforts by engaging physician champions and hospital stakeholders
Customer Engagement & Education
Build lasting relationships with clinicians and support staff
Conduct formal and informal training sessions for internal and external stakeholders
Represent the company at regional trade shows, workshops, and clinical events
Market Feedback & Product Evolution
Collect and share insights on product performance, clinical needs, and market dynamics
Collaborate cross-functionally to refine messaging, training materials, and positioning
Monitor site outcomes and escalate product issues as needed
Administrative & Compliance
Maintain accurate documentation of case support, training activities, and travel expenses
Adhere to all regulatory and quality assurance guidelines
Support cross-functional initiatives and team collaboration as needed
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent clinical experience
1–2+ years of relevant experience in the medical device, diagnostics, or surgical field
Strong knowledge of hospital operations, including OR environments and surgical workflows
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to educate and influence
Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
Ability to travel up to 80%, depending on account coverage
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting surgeons or pathologists in oncology, diagnostics, or related fields
Background in device training, OR support, or procedural case coverage
Experience in startup or scale-up environments is a plus—flexibility and initiative are key
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and product
