Summary /Objective

The Design Assistant for Footwear will generate and maintain Adobe Illustrator drawings, color CADs, and other design files as needed by the cross-functional teams for presentations, specs, line lists, etc. This role includes daily communication with cross-functional teams.

Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Responsible for creating technically accurate color-ready Illustrator line art from rough designer concept sketches.
• Creates seasonal color CADs as guided by the design team for presentations, techpacks, specs, and line lists as needed by cross-functional partners.
• Updates line art and color CADs to reflect design updates.
• Renders material designs for communication with vendors for new material developments.
• Manages file archives and sharing for access by cross-functional team partners.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Excellent eye for color and materials with a keen attention to detail.
• Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, and Google/Microsoft suites.
• Efficient and organized.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize critical timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently or in collaboration with team members and cross-functional partners.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion, illustration, or Industrial Design and/or equivalent work experience
• 1- 3 yrs experience in a similar role with an emphasis on Adobe Illustrator workflows.
