Job Title: Concrete Finisher

Job Summary:
Cypress Employment is seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Finisher to join our clients' construction team in the Mobile, Alabama area. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of concrete placement, finishing, and repair techniques, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment. This is a hands-on position involving outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete (such as floors, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters) using a variety of hand and power tools
Set forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth
Apply curing compounds to concrete surfaces
Monitor the effects of weather and temperature on the curing process
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans
Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to project specifications
Repair and patch existing concrete structures
Operate power trowels, screeds, floats, and other finishing tools
Ensure work areas are clean, safe, and compliant with OSHA regulations
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a concrete finisher (required)
Familiarity with various types of concrete finishes (broom, exposed aggregate, stamped, etc.)
Ability to read construction drawings and follow verbal instructions
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
Reliable transportation to job sites in the Mobile area
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
Valid driver’s license (preferred)
